The February 19 shipping deadline fast approaching, and the team is putting in even longer hours to make sure the robot is the best it can be.

All 8 Oregon teams have been invited to a scrimmage to be held Feb 16, 1-4 pm, at the Crescent Valley HS Cafeteria. Parents and friends are welcome to attend.

Finally we have a working schedule for the Seattle Regional, held on the University of Washington campus.

If our team places high enough, we are invited to the national competition at EPCOT in Florida, held April 18-20, 2002.

As mentioned in our first notice to parents, we need volunteers to help with team travel. Also, there is very little of the grant money left, so expect to pay for all travel, lodging, and meals. If there is any grant money left after the competition(s), a small prorated travel refund may be made.

There are 4 official FIRST hotels listed. Each is about 4 miles from the University. Deadlines for reservations are either Feb 22 or Feb 28, depending on the hotel. We have to pay in advance. Depending on the hotel we get and if we can fill all rooms, lodging should cost about $75 per person for the three nights ($25 per day based on 4 per room). An exact amount will be announced when more is known.

We will have team t-shirts made and will be distributed free to all students and mentors who have made significant contributions to the team. The shirts should be available in mid March.
