Preface:

This scoring guide is based on a combination of examples plus my own customization.  I chose to use letter grades for the column showing level of evaluation.  Students and parents will want to see this, and I consider it better than less familiar methods (e.g., 1-6. "..not there yet...", etc.).

Scoring Guide (Draft Edition) - Vehicular Design Portfolio

The Vehicle Design Portfolio will include assignments that show evidence of both your team’s work and your own work. Individual assignments will be graded based on one or more of the columns in the Scoring Guide. For example, the Project Flow Chart will be compared to the criteria listed under ‘Teamwork’ and ‘Project & Personal Management’, and may be compared with other columns if appropriate. The column ‘Presentation of Portfolio & Self-Evaluation’ is for the overall work in assembling the Portfolio, the appearance of the final product, and your self-evaluation (to be included as the final portfolio entry).
