ABOVE: A 1950's era vacuum tube power supply in what once was the Electronics Lab.  One of many installed above work benches.  Great if you need high voltage DC for building vacuum tube circuits.  At the beginning of the 2001-2002 school year we got 14 new tabletop power supplies that we use in class.  We still need AC power supplies and oscilloscopes.  We can also use testers for capacitance, inductance, transistors, IC's, etc.  Also signal generators (we have one that works).

   Areas Where Support is Needed

The following are programs that I personally am either involved in now, or would like to see developed.  Support can be money, materials, or volunteering.  Please contact me to arrange donations, or if you have questions on how you can help.

Electrical/Mechanical Systems
Vehicular Design & Electric Car Racing
Robotics (FIRST competition or classroom)
Internet Commerce

All classes - Small hand tools, power tools, saw blades, electronics tools, etc.

Electrical / Mechanical / Robotics - oscilloscopes, variable AC power supplies, signal generators, components, repairable electrical equipment, selected electronic junk.

THANK YOU !!!   - donations to my classes and student projects.

LBCC (Mar 02)
We recently received 10 new digital multimeters (DMMs) and one used oscilloscope from the Electronics folks at Linn-Benton Community College.  The DMMs will replace 10 of the 16  DMMs borrowed from the Physics Department that need to be returned at the end of this school year.  And thanks to Al Baily for doing a demo in class and supplying parts for student projects.

Community bike donors (Mar-Apr 02)
A notice went out in our school newsletter asking for donated bikes and parts that we can salvage for the Vehicular Design classes.  We received enough bikes to get the cables and brake levers that we needed.

FIRST Mentors (Jan-Apr 02)
You know who you are.  Without your volunteer efforts, our robotics team could not have existed.

Keith Brown Lumber & Building Materials
Brand X Pizza
(Feb 02)
These businesses donated materials and food to the CHS Robotics team.

   Why Do We Need Support?
Oregon's lack of proper financing of public schools.

Too many students in tech classes.

Only one working oscilloscope.

Restrictions on electives.

When lighting goes bad.

Textbooks copyrighted 1984 (older than the students).
