Corvallis HS Robotics Team The CHS FIRST Robotics Team (Metal Menace) competed in Seattle on March 28-30, 2002. We made it into the semifinals before being eliminated. Metal Menace received one of two Rookie All-Star Awards at the Regional for being an outstanding rookie team. There were 19 rookie teams at the Regional. Our team had the distinction of having the highest losing score in an individual round. Because the rules in the qualifying rounds give the winner 3 times the loser's score, we enabled our opponent to get the record high score for the entire country.
